| How to enroll in Saturdaze classes. Currently, our courses are offered through Santa Barbara City College. You may apply, enroll and pay fees for these courses on their web site at: online.sbcc.edu Our courses are offered fall and spring semesters and summer session. Not all courses are offered each semester. All courses offered are college-level, fully transferable classes to California State Universities and all campuses of the University of California. Many out-of-state students have found that our courses and the low fees of California Community Colleges meet their needs for a high quality education at moderate cost. Currently, fees are $26/unit (California residents), $190/unit (out-of-state), and $205/unit (international). In addition, SBCC charges a health fee of $14; however, an online student who does not attend class on campus pays only a $2.00 health fee. Continuing Education / Tutoring Option. Although most students must take courses through a recognized, accredited institution such as SBCC, those who are interested in continuing education may enroll privately through Saturdaze for an enrollment fee of $300/course, a savings of more than $200 for a 3-unit course. Students who enroll in a course in this fashion are held to the same standards as regular students, will receive written evaluations of their work, and acknowledgement of successful completion of the course. This option provides the opportunity for students enrolled in biology courses elsewhere to receive tutoring through Saturdaze. Home Schooling. For parents home-schooling children, please contact us for information about our content designed for all ages. Our goal is to provide age-appropriate information that is exciting, intriguing, richly illustrated . . . and scientifically accurate. Many projects are presented that allow students to investigate principles of natural science and investigate nature in their neighborhood, parks and zoos. We have an ongoing curriculum development program. If you have special requests for subject matter in the natural sciences, please let us know. |
